Backed By Proven Research
Study after study shows that ABA therapy is one of the most effective treatments for autism spectrum disorder. ABA therapy is based on the principles of behaviorism, and it focuses on teaching new skills and improving behavior by using positive reinforcement.
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy is a scientifically proven treatment that has been shown to be highly effective for children with autism.
Numerous studies have demonstrated the effectiveness of ABA therapy in improving language and communication skills, socialization, and academic performance in children with autism. ABA therapy has also been shown to be effective in reducing problem behaviors and improving adaptive behavior.
At our center, we believe that compassion is an essential component of ABA therapy. We work closely with each child and their family to provide individualized care and support that is tailored to their unique needs. We strive to create a nurturing and supportive environment that promotes growth and development.
Continued research studies prove the effectiveness of ABA in treating autism in children through early intervention.
The research behind ABA therapy and its effectiveness on children with autism is a testament to the power of science and compassion. At Opal, we are proud to offer evidence-based ABA therapy that is grounded in the latest research and delivered with compassion and empathy. If you are looking for a caring and effective therapy for your child with autism, we encourage you to explore ABA therapy and learn more about how it can benefit your child.
The Early Start Denver Model (ESDM) is an ABA-based intervention that was specifically designed for children with autism under the age of five. A randomized controlled trial of the ESDM found that children who received the intervention showed significant improvements in language and cognitive skills compared to children who received community-based interventions (Dawson et al., 2010).
Another study looked at the effectiveness of intensive ABA therapy for children with autism under the age of four. The study found that children who received intensive ABA therapy made significant gains in cognitive, language, and adaptive behavior skills compared to children who received less intensive therapy (Lovaas, 1987).
A study that compared ABA therapy to non-ABA therapy for young children with autism found that children who received ABA therapy showed greater improvements in communication, socialization, and behavior compared to children who received non-ABA therapy
(Smith et al., 2000).
A meta-analysis of ABA interventions for children with autism found that early intensive ABA therapy (at least 25 hours per week) was associated with greater improvements in language and cognitive skills compared to less intensive therapy
(Reichow et al., 2018).
